Summertime is here!

What a great year we had! I saw growth in every aspect of our mission in my Sixth Graders. They began to understand the connection between the Old Testament and Jesus, which whom the prophets spoke of. We experienced different forms of prayer and enjoyed our lessons with Studio 3:16, where we learned how to integrate the gospel message into our daily life. Our study of ancient civilizations taught us how humankind takes the best achievements and puts them into practice, many of which we still rely on today. We learned research, writing and speaking skills in our amazing Wax Museum. We had fun with the Turkey Bowl, served our neighbors by raking leaves, sending joy with homemade cards to those homebound, raised money and packed food for the food insecure. We grew in our knowledge of the natural world and the importance of caring for God’s creation by learning the importance of paying attention to how we can reduce, reuse and recycle after our field trip to the Waste to Energy Facility. Overall, we grew in all areas of our mission, our spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical aspects of our students. I am grateful for the blessing of journey with these children this year. Have an awesome summer and I look forward to seeing you all next fall.
