Spring is Here!

2nd Grade is welcoming Spring with open hearts ready to celebrate the miracle of Easter!

Lent has been a faithful journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We are in the midst of collecting coins for the Generation Alive meal packing community service taking place this April.

We get the opportunity to celebrate our first Chapel Mass this week and are looking forward to receiving communion in this intimate setting.

Our fieldtrip to the theatre to see Junie B. Jones was a fantastic chance to practice being a good audience, support the arts, and have a laugh! We are definitely still singing “Top Secret Personal Beeswax!”

GLAD this month has brought us into the diverse worlds of families in our community. We are traveling the world meeting families from all over and learning about their traditions. This social studies unit is getting us ready and excited for our upcoming GLAD science unit on birds. It is going to be a “hoot!”

In math we have been measuring and comparing heights, lengths, and more! Using nonstandard and standard unit of measurement we have begun exploring the world around us and the world of Jack and the Giant Beanstalk!

UFLI continues to teach us new phonics skills as we enhance our spelling, reading, and writing knowledge. This with our reading units has us ready to enter 3rd grade as strong English Language Arts students.

We are disciples on our journey of being leaders in action modeled on Christ and blessed to do so together!
