Happy Summer, 2nd Grade!

Thank you, Lord, for another amazing year at St. Al’s!

Second grade has worked, prayed, and played hard all school year and is ready for some well earned rest and relaxation this summer break!

Over summer keep practicing the skills we learned to stay sharp and prepared for third grade. Here are a few ideas:

  • Read everyday, inside, outside, out loud, in your head…just read!

  • Visit the library (Try the Spokane Library Summer Reading Challenge)

  • Listen to an audio book during a road trip

  • Write stories to share around the campfire

  • Play outside! Take turns, share, make observations about nature!

  • Host a lemonade stand or garage sale and practice adding the money up or making change!

  • PRAY!

  • Go to Mass

  • Learn about a Saint

  • Help others

  • Share God’s love

Being your teacher was a blessing I am so grateful for!
