“Fall”-ing in Love with 2nd Grade
Wow! It’s November and 2nd Grade is having an absolutely wonderful time learning and growing together!
We celebrated Hallowfest and All Saint/All Souls last week and we were blessed with a visit from Fr. Dan :-)
Our Bee Unit is buzzing in full swing and we are very busy indeed! We had the opportunity to visit with Gonzaga University Bee Keepers after a fun Halloween singing, dancing, and trick-or-treating walking fieldtrip that brought joy to lots of parents, students, and staff alike!
We look forward to learning about lots of different Saints in the month of November through stories, podcasts, books, and videos. How lucky are we to have so many examples of Holy men and women who lived their lives dedicated to Christ.
In math we are working with place value and will be helping our friend Jack count his magic beans and measure his beanstalks.
Our UFLI phonics skills continue to develop and we are wrapping up multisyllable words. We are excited to increase how much we are writing both fiction and non-fiction.
Gratitude fills our hearts this Fall and we can’t wait for Thanksgiving and our annual Thanksgiving Feast!
Blessings and Love,
Mrs. McBroom
