St. Al's Art Philosophy
At St. Aloysius Gonzaga School, our goals for our visual arts program are to provide students with fundamental art skills (such as drawing, painting, and sculpting) and to introduce them to the concept of art history, the great masters, and how art can be a powerful way of expressing your blessings and connecting with the world. Moreover, students are given the tools to discuss their art-making processes and communicate their ideas in the spirit of the school’s mission of “Leaders in action, modeled on Christ.” Most of all, they are given a platform upon which to share their artistic gifts with their peers and their Catholic community.
