Bilateral Symmetry Butterflies from Mrs. Manfred’s 3/4 Class

Mrs. Manfred’s awesome class worked on creating bilateral symmetry with butterfly collages during the last few art classes.  Imagine my surprise when the biggest excitement came from students looking at old magazines!  In the tablet and phone generation, real, live magazines are quite rare, and they were excited to comb through old Sunsets and Martha Stewart Livings for big blocks of color to use to create their butterflies. They even saved a few coupons! Look for these beautiful creations to be coming home in backpacks this week.

I am St. Aloysius School's art teacher for grades K-8. It is a joy to bring art instruction to our students.
