I am so excited to welcome you back to the 2020-2021 school year! Although it may look a bit different, we will still learn the needed content in all subjects for our grade levels (both 3rd and 4th). We will take things slowly for the month of September, especially with our distance learning days. I realize that learning new on-line platforms can be a bit tricky.
We will have a Google Meet (Live) check-in meeting on Monday, September 14th and Friday, September 18th at 9:30. There will not be any small group ELA or Math group live meetings until further notice. I will do assessments in class first so I can best determine these groups.
Look for my first newsletter on Friday, September 11th, that should answer several questions, including information on how to use Google Classroom and Google Meet. During this first week of half days, I will explain to your children how the platforms work, new Covid-19 protocols, as well as we will get to know each other and build community.
I look forward to seeing my 3rd graders on Tuesday/Thursday from 8:30-11:30 and my 4th graders on Wednesday/Friday from 8:30-11:30 this week. Remember that health screening will take place at the school’s front doors for our class. Don’t forget to send your child with a mask. At 11:30, I will walk the children out to the field to meet you for pick-up.
Please always remember that I am here to help! Let me know if you have any questions at all.
