Happy Monday second grade families! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing second grade moms! You are loved and appreciated. With the weather getting warmer, it can be hard to find motivation to work inside. I encourage students to take their learning outside! Our birds unit is perfect for this. Students can sit outside and listen/watch for birds and take notes in a journal. Read books in the grass, create a obstacle course, or go on a walk and count all the different kinds of plants you find! This extra time to get outside and enjoy God’s creation is a blessing.
There are minimal changes to the assignments for the week. We are switching our focus from Bald Eagles to Hummingbirds this week. There are 3 new activities on Seesaw!
If you could please take the time to send me your checklist from week 7 (5/4-5/8) that would be great! Not everything on the checklist needs to be marked when you return it back to me. If your child worked on something that is not on the checklist, feel free to write that in. I will need this paper returned for assessment and accountability.
My office hours are Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 10-11 AM. If you would like to set up a 15 minute meeting, please send me which day and what time works best for you!
I hope you have a blessed week!
