May 4th-8th

Happy Monday and happy May! I may be biased by having a birthday during this month, but I love the changes that happen during May and the feeling of hope this month brings. I hope that we can all take a few moments this month to appreciate the little wins- like warmer weather, sunny afternoon bike rides, or the sprouting of spring plants. My plan to get through this month is to continue celebrating the little wins! I will continue to keep all of your precious children and families in my prayers. I miss all of you so much.

*New this week: I am sending out a weekly checklist with a list of activities broken down by subject. This will give you a guideline for the week. Pick and choose but the “eye” emoji, indicates the most important work to get done during the week. I will put special notes or added directions in my Friday emails. I will need this paper returned for assessment and accountability! You can send it to me on Seesaw, email, or mail. I will need one for each week that I assign work. Turning in this checklist will count towards assessment for the 3rd trimester. Not everything on the checklist needs to be marked when you return it back to me! If your child worked on something that is not on the checklist, feel free to write that in. When we can start with packets, hopefully I will be able to collect work your child has done at home. At this time, this is not possible. Please reach out if you have any questions about this new checklist and thank you in advance for your partnership on this new accountability tool!

Office Hours- Beginning this week, I will be implementing office hours for 15 minute meetings with either you or your child! My office hours will be Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11 AM. This would be a time to check-in with me or even provide time to give a running record to your child. If you would like to schedule a meeting, please email me which day and what time works for you. I can do a Zoom meeting or a phone call!
