Apr. 27th-May 1st

Good morning and happy Monday second grade families!

I hope you all had a safe and relaxing weekend spent with your families. You are all in my prayers and I know that we are going to get through this together! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our Virtual Auction on Saturday night. I truly appreciate your support of our school!
This week is a very similar schedule to last week. I have recommended splitting up the subjects during the week to spread out the amount of work during the week. Monday/Wednesday for reading and writing, Tuesday/Thursday is science and math and Friday is religion, choice, and P.E. I suggest about 60 minutes of schoolwork a day. For science, we are going to be starting a new GLAD unit on Birds! I will be using the app Seesaw to share lesson videos, project ideas, and bird assignments. This week, have your child complete the Home/School connection activity attached in this email. This is the same format as our GLAD homework from our Bee unit and Solids, Liquids, and Gases! I have also assigned an activity on Seesaw where students watch a video and respond with 2 things that they learned. There is no time limit on these assignments, so they can always be completed next week if you don’t get to it this week!
I hope you all have a blessed week! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions/concerns at any time.
Love,
Mrs. Foster
