Week of 1/6-1/10

Hello Families!

I hope your Christmas Break was full of memorable family moments and fun! I know mine was! My three year old was absolutely delighted waking up to snow a couple times over the last two weeks. We are going to hit the ground running this next week with 5 whole days of school, a spelling test, and a new book, Bound. We are also starting this week with a grade check for eligibility, as well as grades 3-8 MAP testing. More info to follow on the 6th Grade MAP Schedule.

I have received a few emails regarding the final draft of the Jerry Spinelli Compare and Contrast essay that I will address with individual students. Writing is such a personal exercise that it’s much more effective for me to communicate edits and questions in person. I look forward to finishing these essays and am amazed at the amount of hard work and dedication your children have put into this project.

As we get started with the new year, I want to remind you to please have gym shoes available for your child as PE remains indoors on cold days. Additionally, please make sure your child comes to school with warm clothes for recess! Thank you!
