*It’s so hard to believe that we are in our last week before Christmas break! Please have a Merry Christmas with your loved ones.
*Our Christmas program is tomorrow night! The children may meet me in our designated pews no earlier than 6:15 that evening. Have them stay with you until 6:15. We are sitting in the balcony on the left side if you are facing the altar. After the program, please pick up your child from me. They need to wear their Sunday best. Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow night!
*Thank you to Ann Smith and Sarah Schwering for planning our Christmas party this Friday. Ann sent out an email with an attached sign-up sheet for volunteers and items to bring. Thank you for your donations and for those of you volunteering! We are still in need of a few more volunteers. Your children are very excited for this party! On Friday, the children can wear red and green free dress.
*We are so appreciative of your support of our Annual Fund. Our third graders received a little prize on Friday because we have 30% of our families who have donated. If you have not yet donated and would like to, you may either donate in person or on-line (an email link was sent from Cami Carlson last week). Again, thank you for your generosity! It truly helps our school move forward.
*Please remember to log into “Track It Forward” to log volunteer hours and to check for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Thank you for all you do to support our school!
*None! Enjoy time with family this week!

Math: We reviewed a lot for our math test we took on Thursday. Mrs. Dvorak will go over their tests individually with them this week and I will keep them until the next round of report cards go out. We also continued learning about fractions during Number Corner.
Religion: We continued our learning of the Jesse Tree. It has been an amazing journey through the Old Testament during Religion time. We also learned all about the Mary’s Immaculate Conception in which she was born free of original sin. We had a great conversation about that after Mass on Monday. On December 12th, we celebrated the Feast Day of our Lady of Guadalupe. Ask your child to share this wondrous story with you. We continued with our Advent prayer circle in class and Advent hallway prayer too.
Language Arts: We continued our guided reading and word work groups! We also continued our discussion of what to do when our meaning breaks down when reading.
