Oct. 28- Nov. 1

Happy Monday and happy Halloween! It was so wonderful seeing you at Hallowfest on Friday night! I love seeing how excited the students are to wear their costumes and play the games. I am thankful for all of our classroom volunteers who helped at our class booth. We could not have this event without you! I hope you all had a wonderful time.

This week is another busy week in second grade! We are going to be taking our first field trip on Thursday morning. We will be walking over to the Hemmingson Center at Gonzaga to check out their bee campus! I am excited for this hands-on learning activity for the students to wrap up our bee unit. Please return your field trip permission slip by Thursday morning. I am looking for one or two parents volunteers who would be willing to walk over to Gonzaga and walk back to school with us that morning. We will be leaving at 9:15 AM and returning around 10:15 AM.

Thursday (10/31) is also the day of our Halloween party! The party will begin at 2:15 PM. Students may wear Orange and Black Free Dress to school on this day. No costumes please.

A few reminders for the week:

  • All Saints Mass will be this Friday (11/1) at 12:15 PM. As always, you are welcome to join us if your schedule allows.
  • Parent/Teacher conferences will be November 7th and 8th. Please check your email for the conferences schedule that went out last week.
  • There will be no school Monday, November 12th, in observance of Veteran’s Day.
  • If you have not done so, please join our second grade class Facebook page for all information regarding field trips, parties, etc. https://www.facebook.com/stalsparents2026/
  • Newsletter 2019

I hope you all have a blessed week and a safe Halloween night!

Blessings,

Mrs. Foster
