Week of 5/6-5/13

Hello Families! Happy Bloomsday!

As I’m writing this, many of you Bloomies are running through my neighborhood; good luck!!

This week is a full 5 day week with many exciting activities including our first Fund Run assembly on Friday, MAP testing on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Sports/Club photos on Thursday! Additionally, the 6th grade is working toward an extra recess this Friday. To earn this recess, student will be in their seats and ready to go (materials needed also at their desks) when their teachers start roll call. For the week of 5/13-5/17:

The 6th grade is involved in two big events:

The NASA Downlink at Gonzaga Prep (5/15):

For our Gonzaga Prep field trip, students are expected to wear their uniforms. If you have an 8th grade child, your 6th grade child may want to stay back from the field and support his or her older sibling during the Hero Presentations.

The Marian Mass (5/16):

For the Marian Mass, students are invited to wear their school uniforms -or- something dressier. This is an very touching and important mass for the 6th grade as it marks their transition into Middle School responsibilities as part of the St Als community. It also gives the 6th grade an opportunity to say Thank You! to their moms and mother figures. Please join us in celebrating at Saint Aloysius at 10:15, and bring your tissues!

Thank you for sharing your children with St Als and have a wonderful, beautiful, sunny Sunday!
