Second Grade Impressionists

The second graders are embarking on a three-week project in which they demonstrate the Impressionist technique of allowing the viewer’s eye to mix the colors.  They’re layering tempera and oil pastels to create their own versions of Monet’s famous Japanese bridges.  I can’t wait to see their dreamy, spring colors and beautiful water lilies!

I am St. Aloysius School's art teacher for grades K-8. It is a joy to bring art instruction to our students.
