Newsletter week of 11/5-11/9 and Operation Christmas Child!!

Happy November! There is a lot going on during this month (and we have a lot of holidays/no school days this month!). Remember to check the website and read the newsletter weekly for events going on around the school. Today we sent home a Turkey Project instead of our regular homework packet (due to conferences). This project should be completed and returned to school no later than November 16th.

We have also sent home a letter about Operation Christmas Child which is starting tomorrow! Our Monday Morning Prayer was led by Mrs. Mills MAC class where the whole school learned about what O.C.C is and how we can bring joy to kids around the world this Christmas season. Each class has been assigned an age group to create a box for. Our second grade class has both a boy and girl ages 5-9. When bringing in items, think of things your own child would enjoy finding inside a shoe box! We have posted a sign-up sheet on our bulletin board outside the classroom. If you cannot make it to the store to buy items, you can sign up to help cover the shipping cost of our boxes ($9). Please see the note sent home in the red folders for more information.

Other important news:

  • Conferences are this Thursday (11/8) and Friday (11/9). Please double check your conference time.
  • Extra P.E. shoes may be kept in your child’s backpack or in the closet in our classroom. If they are being kept in the closet, please make sure they are in a bag labeled with your child’s name.
