Welcome Back to School!

Good afternoon 6th, 7th, and 8th grade families,
The teachers at St. Aloysius Gonzaga have been very busy preparing for the first day of school on Tuesday!  We are looking forward to seeing all of you!

My name is Mrs. Amanda Holland, and this will be my eighth year teaching at St. Aloysius Gonzaga.  As the Middle School Lead Teacher, I am responsible for student schedules and weekly eligibility grade checks on Mondays.  I am currently on maternity leave until November when I will be back in the classroom, but I am available via email for any scheduling questions.

Starting today, I would like to invite you and your student to view his or her classes online. You can do this by logging on to your TeacherEase account, and then selecting “Class” from the options on the left side of your screen.

On the first day of school, all 5th-8th grade students will begin their day in their homeroom class (5th – Mrs. Nuss, 6th – Mrs. Girardot Putnam, 7th – Mrs. Padon, and 8th – Mrs. Dixon). The homeroom teacher will have a printed copy of each student’s schedule available.

Please be mindful, if you or your student have concerns about their schedule, then please let Mrs. Holland and Vice Principal Mrs. Manfred know.  If a student wishes to change his or her elective classes, for a specific reason, he or she will need to meet with Mrs. Manfred to be informed of the elective change process.  A great deal of time and effort has been spent creating these schedules while trying to accommodate everyone’s requests.  After the first week of school, all elective schedules are final.
Also, we are very excited that our 7th and 8th grade students will be using new lockers this school year!  Since these lockers are being installed at the end of next week, we request that 6th-8th grade students only bring their essential school supplies in their backpacks on the first day of school.

Please email me if you have any questions about class placements or using TeacherEase.  Middle School Teachers will also be available at Back to School Night on September 12.  Thanks so much, and I’m looking forward to a great school year!

Blessings,
Mrs. Amanda Holland
