First Grade Abstract Art

The first graders have been working on their “Roll-A-Kandinsky” abstract art projects.  Earlier this year, we read “The Noisy Paint Box,” inspired by Kandinsky’s ability to “see” music and “hear” color.  For this project, we’re working on filling the page and creating balance through our placement of shapes, and use of size and color.  Watch for these fun projects to be coming home early next week.

I am St. Aloysius School's art teacher for grades K-8. It is a joy to bring art instruction to our students.
