Welcome to St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic School

Prior to the start of the 2023-24 school year, we had the opportunity to attend a spiritual retreat led by Bishop Daly for all of the Catholic School Principals of the Spokane Diocese. The Bishop encouraged each of us to set aside ten minutes a day for prayer. His message for principals was to encourage our school communities to “be Christians that are pilgrims, not just tourists.”  Spending time in prayer each day enables us to be spiritually fed, so that we are able to minister to those in our lives. This message from Bishop Daly provided the inspiration for our 2023-24 school wide theme, Shine Christ’s Light!

In the parable, Matthew 25:14-30, we are advised to Shine Christ’s Light by using our talents. Our staff often reminds students that together they can use their talents to do amazing things! Recently, our school community took part in a schoolwide social justice project for Operation Christmas Child, which is an organization that helps to provide Christmas gifts for children in countries impacted by war. At St. Al’s, we are fortunate to offer a faith filled environment that encourages children to use their gifts to reach out, and Shine Christ’s Light in our world.

Thank you for your loyal and amazing support of our mission. We are so blessed by each of you! Stay living in the Light and please share it with others!

Blessings,

Angie Krauss and Dawn Manfred
