“Generation Alive empowers youth to compassionately engage the needs of their community through action and service”~ Generation Alive

Message from Principal Angie Krauss:
Dear Families,

We have raised $425,049 of our $600,000 goal to Cross The Phase 2 Finish Line! WOW! WOW! WOW! Thanks to the generosity of our parents and auction guests during the paddle raise, we made a BIG leap toward our goal!

Annual Auction-KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION:
Auction numbers are in…

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!!!

Our NET income was **$225,565.63!!! From the NET income, **$139,600 will help pay for our ELC & K-8 playground projects. 🙂

**These numbers DO NOT
include the surprise matching gift (for all $5000 gifts) that were announced during the paddle raise. When we receive the funds for this matching gift, we will adjust the numbers accordingly and make another announcement.

Also, It was heartwarming
to see the students faith in action as they packed meals last Thursday for those children in our community that are food insecure. The amount of compassion and maturity they displayed was inspiring . They packed (insert number )Of meals. What an INCREDIBLE
COMMUNITY we are a part of!

Registration Reminders:

Please be mindful that accounts
must be paid in full to register for the 2018-2019 school year on March 19th.

Current families will begin registration on
March 19, 2018 and the registration packet will be due on March 28th.

We will begin Fair Share Conferences on March 19th and run them through March 30th.

The Nazareth Guild has a new process families will use to apply for the tuition assistance tap grant awards. It is a program called FACTS.
Families applying for fair share are required to fill it out. We will have an evening set
aside in March to help any family that needs assistance with FACTS. You can begin the application on March 5th and it will be highlighted in the AM news.

Open registration will begin on April 9th to
our waitlist families, so it is important to solidify your child’s spot with your packet turned in on time.

It is such a joy to see Christ’s love displayed each day at school by your children. They really are an inspiration to me and our staff each day!

In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Krauss

Volunteer Hours:
Please watch your email for Volunteer Hour Notices to be sent out. Just to clarify:

½ Day Kindergarten
or Montessori enrollment = 10 volunteer hours per family

Full time Montessori
& KALL-8 enrollment = 20 volunteer hours per family

Volunteer hours are to be completed and submitted no later than
Friday, June 8th.

Volunteer Opportunity:
Mr. Hanson is looking for a parent volunteer on Thursday, March 1st at 3pm to help make popcorn for all of the Be Like Coach players. Please email Aleisha Webb at
[email protected]
if you are interested.

Box Tops:

There have been many questions so I wanted to clarify that yes, the Labels for Education Program has ended BUT the Box Tops program is still going strong! Thank you to all of the families that have participated this year. Box Tops are such an easy fundraiser for
our school! The Box Tops program sends out checks 2 times a year, once in December and once in April.
Our next submission deadline is Thursday,
March 1st. Our goal this year is to earn $1,000 and we are already at $600! Please watch for a Box Tops sheet to be coming home with your child today. These sheets hold 50 Box Tops which can be taped or glued and each full sheet earns our school $5.
Did you know Box Tops count for volunteer hours also?

50 Box Tops = 1 volunteer hour Please record your volunteer hour(s) under the Box Tops category on your Volunteer Hour Summary and list your families name and the grade to credit on every bag or sheet turned in. I do not record hours for this so make sure you are keeping track.

This month the prize for the top 3 classes will be a popcorn party. Please check out the Box Tops website at btfe.com for coupons, bonus Box Tops, and information about the Box Tops app. Please contact Aleisha Webb at
[email protected]
with any questions you may have. Thank you!

Seussical:

Are you handy with a hammer and a saw? If so, our drama department is looking for volunteers to help with set construction. We will meet on Sunday, March 4th and Sunday, March 11th both days at 10am. Please bring any hammers, saws, nais, etc. that you think would be helpful! Please email Aleisha Webb at [email protected]
with any questions you may have or follow the Google link below to sign up:

STAG Pride/Kudos/Prayers:

In what ways
will you try to move forward in your relation to Christ this Lent?

We pray to be
centered this Lenten season. How can you center yourself more on God and God’s ways?
