First Grade’s Noisy Paint boxes!

The First grade and MAC  classes are studying the works of Kandinsky, considered to be one of the founders of abstract art.  We read Barb Rosenstock’s fantastic book, The Noisy Paintbox, and listened to Rachmaninoff for inspiration.  We painted shapes and colors inspired by the music we heard, and Kandinsky’s amazing abilities to “see” music and “hear” color.  Please check out the first grade’s abstract paintings, posted outside the gym.

I am St. Aloysius School's art teacher for grades K-8. It is a joy to bring art instruction to our students.
