“Show your greatness in the sky, O God, and your glory over all the earth.”
Message from Principal Angie Krauss:
I am enjoying these last few weeks of fall before the weather turns colder. I am continually amazed at the beauty of the leaves changing color and the intricate design on each one. We have so many blessings to be grateful for each day.
Our staff and students brainstormed different ways to enrich our faith formation experience at Monday Morning Prayer. I was impressed with their creative ideas on how to inspire our faith journey. We have made several changes to the format and I am excited to see how our shared vision impacts all of us this year. You are more than welcome to join us on Monday mornings, it begins about 8:45 am. Today, fourth grade will be presenting on our monthly theme “Love” by featuring St. Francis of Assis.
I am also very thankful for all the wonderful progress Garco Construction is making on our new building. It is so fun to see all the work completed each week. If you haven’t had a chance, please check out Pete Hanson taking the first shot in our new gym. It is posted on our Facebook page! We are on track to finish the new building this spring. We still have some naming opportunities available and still need to raise $600,000 to complete our funding of Phase 2. If you haven’t had a chance to give, please go online to our website or stop by the front office to make your pledge.
We feel so grateful to have this new facility and know it is the hard work and sacrifice of so many that made this vision a reality for generations to come.
In Christ’s Peace,
Teddy Bears: This week we will be finger-painting with yellow and red paint to make orange. We will also be getting our individual pictures taken on Thursday morning.
Chickadees: This week the Chickadees will continue learning about Fire Safety. The dramatic play area has been turned into a fire station so that the kids can pretend to be firemen and fight fires. This week we will also start learning about pumpkins and make crafts that we can decorate our classroom with.
Owls: This week in preschool our theme is personal and fire safety. During the week we will read books about safety and discuss ways to stay safe. The class will talk about “Stranger Danger” and how to stay safe during a fire.

Hawks: This week the Hawks class will be learning about the letter “Bb.” We plan to make banana bread, go on a bear hunt around our school and make really big bubbles! Our dramatic play area will turn into a Halloween house and in the science area we will focus on the concepts of color and light.
Tigers: This week the Tigers class will be working on the letter “Ll”. We will be doing a leaf collage and talking about why leaves change with the seasons. On Monday we will make homemade lemonade and make predictions during the process.
Montessori East and West: The topic of discussion this week will be numbers. We will demonstrate number activities and read books about numbers.
