“The Lord is bigger than the giants you face .”

~1 John 4:4

Message from Principal Angie Krauss:

Dear Families,

I am amazed that we are already in October!  It was an action packed first month of school with many memories that we will treasure.  I wanted to let you know that we have asked the Leadership Class to reflect and think about ways that students would like to be recognized for their God-given talents.  The year of mercy which Pope Francis instituted is now over, so we will rename the Acts of Mercy (student recognition awards) based on student feedback.  In the next few weeks, the leadership students will be asking for input from the various classes on how we can celebrate and recognise all the wonderful things our students do at our school.

Also, we have changed the requirements for volunteering at our school.  Only those parents who will be having regular, unsupervised contact with students need to participate in the Code of Conduct training and renewal process.  The major events we host such as Hallowfest, auction, and Fund Run will not require you to complete this process.  If you are a coach or university student working with our students on an ongoing basis then you will need to complete the Virtus training.  Please feel free to contact me or Meg Martens mmartens@dioceseofspokane.org if you have any questions.

We will be having the Blessings of the Animals tomorrow at 2:30 in the field area and we invite you to join us.  If you are unable to bring your pet, please know your child can bring a picture of your pet.  Please have your pet on a leash or be able to control it, because their is a range of different animals that usually attend!

I hope you all have an awesome week!

In Christ’s Peace,

Angie Krauss
