Dear Families,

I hope you have enjoyed your summer and I am looking forward to seeing all of you in a couple of weeks. We had a productive month preparing for school to open and seeing the new building going up! Below I will highlight some key dates and important information for the start of school.
Next week, the front entrance and parking lot will be unavailable due to construction until Wednesday. I know some students will be coming for sports practices so please enter on the cafeteria side of the school building.
Kindergarten Orientation is on August 29th, at 6:00 pm.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 31st and we will have a “Meet and Greet” beginning at 8:15 to 9:00 in the classrooms. Parents are encouraged to come in and meet the teacher and see where your child’s classroom will be for the school year. We will also have coffee and refreshments available for parents in our cafeteria. Pat Klumb our kitchen manager will be available to share information about our breakfast and lunch program.
Our Back to School Night is September 11th at 6:30 pm for first grade through 8th grade parents. We will be sharing exciting information regarding our new building and the year ahead. I hope you all can join us and also take a peek at our new multi media lab that you made possible through the Paddle Raise!

I also wanted to let you know that Stacy Piper our sixth grade teacher has decided to pursue another professional opportunity. I am in the final stages of interviewing and will announce our new hire by next week. Stacy has been an incredible teacher and her presence in the St. Al’s community will be greatly missed. I want to thank her for her many wonderful years of service to our mission. We wish her the best of luck.

I have also included a message from Mrs. Piper that she would like to share with you:

I would like to thank the staff, parent community, students and the administration for their support and the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing community. I have decided to move on to pursue other opportunities and experiences professionally, St. Als will always have a special place in my heart ad I will miss everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

God bless,
Stacy Piper
Please know if you have any questions or need assistance don’t hesitate to contact us. I am truly honored to serve alongside such a talented staff and partner with an incredibly supportive parent community.
