Tigers Weekly Newsletter December 4-8th

Tigers Class Family News, for the week of December 4-8, 2017

Hello Tigers families,

Next week in Tigers class we will be busy preparing for our Christmas program, then enjoying the beginning of Advent! We will transform our dramatic play area into a Christmas house, and also begin making a very special gift. (Shhh, no peeking!)

We are excited to get to share our Christmas songs with you at our Christmas program! Our time is at approximately 5:50pm on Wednesday evening, and we hope you will be able to join us after, in the cafeteria, for cookies and milk!

For Advent we will begin with a wreath and purple candle for the first week. Our focus will be “Dear God, please bless this wreath and help us to remember that Advent is a time to prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ birthday, Amen.”

Important information:

Please send a backpack each day for your child. When transitioning from the opening classroom and then when transitioning to the closing room, a backpack would be most helpful for your child to carry all his/her belongings. Please let us know if you don’t have a backpack, and would like us to come up with a different plan.

Friday December 22nd, we will be decorating cookies during the morning session. Please see the sign-up sheet in our classroom!

Monday December 25th thru Tuesday January 2nd, the ELC will be closed for Christmas and New Year’s break. We will re-open on Wednesday January 3rd.
