Weekly Newsletter

November 6, 2017

Dear Parents and Second Graders,

Homework this week is to start your fun family project.  We will have the usual homework packet next week.

The fun family project is due no later than Friday, November 17.  You need to disguise your turkey so it doesn’t look like a turkey!  The turkey wants to escape from Thanksgiving, so you need to keep it safe by dressing it up in a disguise – use your imagination, be creative and have fun!

Use as many creative materials as you can find such as cloth remnants, yarn, sequins, nature items, food items….the sky is the limit!  You may bring your project early if you would like since they will be put on display on our hall bulletin board.  Also write a story about how your turkey escaped from Thanksgiving.  You can use the paper provided.

We will not have school on Wednesday, Nov. 8 and Thursday, Nov. 9 due to parent conferences.  Also, we will not have school on Friday, Nov. 10 due to Veteran’s Day.

Thank you so much for all your time, talent, and treasure you devote to the education of your child.

Have a blessed week!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Diane Weber
