First and MAC Landscapes

The first grade and MAC classes are learning about landscapes and color families. They were introduced to vocabulary terms like foreground, mid-ground, and background which we will be focusing on this fall.  They made bright, beautiful rolling hills and sunrises using color families (shades of the same base color) and bold outlines to create emphasis.  We’ll be focusing on American folk art this fall, and we’ll continue to use these terms throughout the quarter.  I’m so proud of them!

I am St. Aloysius School's art teacher for grades K-8. It is a joy to bring art instruction to our students.
