I am looking forward to seeing everyone in August and that your summer has been well-balanced.
Transition back to school can be difficult for some children. The following steps can help prepare for the upcoming school year:
Provide nutritious food and limit snacks
Spend an hour a day in green space: hiking, biking, fishing, playing
Have family dinners (without technology)
Play board games
Assign your child a family chore (laundry folding, unpacking groceries, etc.)
Allow for a consistent sleep routine free of technology
Please make sure that school supplies are labeled. We sort the supplies on the first day of school so everyone has what they need and I store the rest until needed. Items that should be labeled are clip board, crayons, markers, and scissors. All other supplies will be shared.
