Dear Parents and Second Graders,
We have been studying animals! We have been learning all kinds of interesting facts about these animals. I would like each student to do a project on an animal due on Thursday, May 18th.
Your child can pick any animal for this project. Some information is attached to this letter to help get them started and organize their information. They are to complete a written and creative component. The written part should contain basic information such as appearance, habitat, type of eater, and its enemies. Also, include special characteristics unique to the animal and why you choose this animal. The creative part can be a poster, diorama, cardboard cutout, paper mache, clay sculptures… the sky’s the limit! The written report should be handwritten with the paper provided. Make sure it is written neatly with correct capitalization, spelling, and punctuation.
The art part of the project should be a creative representation of the animal. This is similar to our wonderful dinosaur projects!! Encourage creativity and have fun with this project!
Homework is attached to this newsletter.
Have a great week!
