“May the Blessing of each day be the Blessing you need most.”
Message from Principal Angie Krauss:
I am grateful that there is no snow in the immediate forecast; we might actually be able to get the playground equipment out for the whole week! A big thank you to staff and parent volunteers that worked on the parking lot and playground this weekend. They moved the snow back for the children so they could have an area to play in again.
I also wanted to remind you that if you are in the drop off lane to please not get out of your car and go into the building. This lane is designated for drop off and pick up purposes only. Also, our parking lot is designed for vehicles to be in forward motion only. Please do not reverse in our parking lot. I appreciate your cooperation in helping make the parking lot run smoothly for all involved.
A special congratulations to Mr. Barfield and the drama students who performed in Godspell this past week. They did an outstanding job and really exemplified our mission of educating the whole child. I look forward to seeing the performance selected for next year’s show!
Please mark your calendars with this date change for Fund Run. We will be moving it to June 2 due to Marian Mass at Gonzaga Prep and the long winter. This will be the first time we have held fund run in June – looking forward to hopefully warmer weather.
Also, just a reminder that we will have registration packets ready to pick up on Monday, March 20. If you are attending a fair share tuition pledge meeting, please make sure you have a copy of your tax return and the Nazareth Guild Tap Grant complete.
Last but certainly not least, we will have “Zag Day” on Thursday and Saint Patty’s Day green free dress on Friday. Hope you all have a very blessed week.
This morning, we recognized the following students at Monday Morning prayer for their Acts of Mercy: Colton Kelly, Sara Loveland, Sofia Lloyd and Isabella Russell.

Next Monday, March 20th, the Leadership kids will be setting up in the gym to start packaging meals and we are still in need of some extra 6 ft. folding tables. Rather than buying them, we are reaching out to families to see if you have tables that we can borrow. If you are willing to let us borrow a table, please email Aleisha Webb at email@example.com. Please make sure your last name is clearly labeled on the table and drop it off at school by 8:30 AM on Monday, March 20th. They can then be picked up on Wednesday, March 22nd. Thank you for your help!
Please email Aleisha Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have about your hours or if you did not receive a Volunteer Hour Summary. We have been receiving many duplicate hours, please make sure that you are only recording hours that have not yet been recorded.
We will be offering one more Protecting God’s Children class this year. Date and time are TBD. There is limited availability so please email Meg Martens at email@example.com if you are interested in signing up.
If you are recording hours under any of the “other” categories, please make sure you include a description of those hours. Hours recorded under “other” without a description will not be counted until confirmed.
If you have volunteer hours you need to complete this school year, here are a few ways to help you fulfill them:
Watch the Monday News for upcoming opportunities.
Ask your child’s teacher about take home projects and/or helping out with projects they need completed.
Look through the categories listed on the Volunteer Hour Summary.
Email Aleisha Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org
Just a friendly reminder that each Montessori and K-8 family with a full-time student is required to complete 20 hours of volunteer time per year, and Montessori and K-8 families with a part-time student are required to complete 10 hours of volunteer time per year. Hours are to be completed and submitted by the end of May. Any unrecorded volunteer hours will be billed out at the rate of $20 per uncompleted hour. We will be reviewing each family’s hours this week and emailing those who still have hours to complete.
When recording these volunteer hours please list them as following:
For concessions, record under the “baking/cooking” category
For prop donations, please list them under “Events-other” and make note they are for the Godspell production. Each of the items were worth ½ a volunteer hour.
For any help with the production, ie. set building, supervising practices, committees, etc. record these hours under “Classroom-Chaperone”
Thank you for all your help and support of this event! Please email Aleisha Webb at email@example.com with any questions you may have.
Box Tops and Labels for Education:
Please remember to include your family name and grade when turning in either sheets or baggies of Box Tops or Labels for Education. When recording them for volunteer hours, 50= 1 volunteer hour. You are responsible for recording your own hours on the Volunteer Hour Summary. We do not record hours for your family. Box Tops and Labels for Education can be submitted in a bag or either taped or glued (no staples please) to a collection sheet. New collection sheets can be found at the Box Tops/Labels for Education board located in the junior high wing.
Please pray for the homeless in our community. May they find comfort and services they need during difficult times.
For all of our school families and loved ones, that God will bless our lives abundantly with peace, joy, and healing, and fill us with His Holy Spirit.
