I hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend with your family and were able to spend some special time together. I know what a blessing it was for us to have a chance to catch our breath and rest.
I wanted to let you know that our annual auction was a great success once again. We have not finalized our expenses yet but have raised over $120,000. We were able to reach our paddle raise goal of $25,000 to buy Chromebooks for our students. All of this would not have been possible without our partnership with you and our loyal St. Al’s community.
We are excited this week to host our open house to prospective families. If you see guests in the building, please make sure to welcome them and let them know what a great place this is to educate your child.
Our after-school Spanish program will begin on March 13. The registration process will start next Monday. Please look for it in the Monday news.
Each year over 300 in coming freshmen take the entrance exam at Gonzaga Preparatory School. Traditionally, our students overall perform well on this exam. This year, we had six of our 8th graders qualify to apply for the Father Pedro Arrupe Scholarship for Academic Excellence. That is OUTSTANDING!!! What an awesome representation of our students’ hard work and a well-rounded St. Al’s education! Six students have been asked to submit essays on Jesuit education with scholarship awards being announced in early March. We would like to congratulate: Vincent Decker, Evan Duchesne, Alice Groffman, Owen Manfred, Drew Schmidt, and Owen Zwyer for qualifying to apply for this scholarship.
This morning, we recognized the following students at Monday Morning prayer for their Acts of Mercy: Olivia Patshkowski, Mackenzie Schwartzenberger and Alice Groffman.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Hope you have a blessed week!
