The Leadership class is happy to be a part of the Generation Alive movement at St. Al’s.
Generation Alive is a Spokane based organization whose mission is to develop a generation of young leaders, committed to serving others and responding to the needs in their community. We will be working on raising funds to help purchase supplies such as dried grains, vitamins and vegetables to pack meals for families in our area that deal with food insecurity. One quarter provides one nutritious meal for someone who is hungry.
The Leadership class will be the action team that helps on the packing day to guide our students in packing these meals. We are learning about food insecurity in our community as well as the concept that compassion requires action. This is putting our mission statement into practice! “Our ultimate goal is to graduate students who are leaders in action, modeled on Christ.“
