In Christ’s Peace,
Week of February 6th-10th:
This week we will introduce our new song of the month “Skid a ma rink.” We will also be mixing red and white finger paint to make pink.
This week we will be learning about the dentist and the importance of brushing our teeth and eating good foods. We will also have a visit from a dentist.
This week’s theme is all about friendship, valentines, and love. We will discuss who St. Valentine was and why we celebrate this holiday. We will also talk about Valentine traditions and what makes a good friend. We will have a Valentine’s Day party the following Tuesday!
This week in the Hawks classroom we will turn our castle area into a grocery store and in our Science area we will focus on Geology! We will also begin working on spring assessments.
This week our theme will be Valentine’s day. On Monday, we will have a visit from a local dentist who will teach us the importance of good hygiene! Our letter this week will be the letter ‘Ll’.
This week Tigers will be learning about the letter “Ff” followed by sound. We will create a “farm craft” talking about things that start with “Ff” and do a food craft!

Thank you so much to all of the amazing volunteers that helped us with auction set-up on Thursday and at the event on Friday. I would also like to thank everyone that helped leading up to the auction! We appreciate you all so much!
Even though the day of the auction has passed, we still have work to do. We will need volunteers throughout the week to help with auction “wrap up” jobs. Times TBD. Please email me if you are interested and which date you are available at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you volunteered at the auction, I would love to get your feedback on how it went! Please email me if you would like to set up a time to meet.

Box Tops and Labels for Education:
There have been a lot of questions lately about the Campbell’s Soup Labels/ Labels for Education, so here are some answers:
YES, we are still collecting them! You can find 1 point, 5 point, and 10 point collection sheets available at the Box Tops/ Labels for Education board located in the Junior High wing.
YES, the program is still going. It is however “winding down” unfortunately. This means that they are still accepting labels that are out there on products, they are just not producing more.
YES, Labels for Education count for volunteer hours just like Box Tops. For every 50 you collect you can record 1 hour of volunteer time. (Please remember to label your bag/sheet with name and grade AND record your own hour on your Volunteer Hour Summary)
Rather than receiving a check like we do for Box Tops, Labels for Education has a product catalog that we can order from. Lots of really cool things in there including playground equipment and Visa gift cards!
Please email me with any other questions you may have at email@example.com. Thank you!
Please remember to include your family name and grade when turning in either sheets or baggies of Box Tops or Labels for Education. When recording them for volunteer hours, 50= 1 volunteer hour. You are responsible for recording your own hours on the Volunteer Hour Summary. We do not record hours for your family.
Thank you to everyone who helped at the auction on Thursday and Friday! A special shout out to Brian Kraut who graciously came on board as our MC this year. We truly appreciate all of you and your generous hearts!
Please pray for the homeless in our community. May they find comfort and services they need during difficult times.
For all of our school families and loved ones, that God will bless our lives abundantly with peace, joy, and healing, and fill us with His Holy Spirit.
tion. I was touched to see so many of you there and your dedication to our mission and educating the whole child.
