I can’t believe that Catholic Schools Week is next week! This is such a wonderful way to celebrate our Catholic identity and the benefits of being in a Catholic School that focuses on the education of the whole child. I would like to encourage all families to attend one of our Parishioner Appreciation Masses this Sunday, January 29th, at Saint Aloysius Parish at 8:30 am or 11:00am. This is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to the parish for their support of our school financially and spiritually. They give 13 cents of every dollar to the school so that our students can receive an outstanding education.
Later this week, we will be sending out a schedule of Catholic Schools Week and the important activities you will not want to miss!
If you plan to attend our Annual Auction on Friday, February 3, please buy your tickets by this Friday before the price increases due to late registration. You can buy them online or at the office.
Also, just a reminder that registration will be here before you know it. Make sure to have your account current so you can register on time. We are hosting an Open House on February 22 and 24, and our waiting lists will be full. Please ensure that you can keep your spot for next year by being in good financial standing.
I hope you all can see God’s face in someone you meet this week. His spirit is moving in so many powerful ways!
In Christ’s Peace,
Week of January 23rd-27th
This week we will be water coloring mittens and working on our auction project. We will also be celebrating our color of the month on Wednesday by wearing blue and/or white.
We will continue learning about similarities and differences. We will be doing art projects and playing games with this theme.
Last week we chatted about the North Pole. We discussed the weather and the animals that live in the Arctic, (mainly the polar bears). This week we will travel to the South Pole or the Antarctic. We will discuss the weather and the exciting world of penguins. On Friday we will compare the two poles to find the differences and the similarities.
This week the Hawks will learn about the letter “Gg.” We will talk about grandparents, pan for gold in our science area and make chips and guacamole!
This week we are talking about fairytales and we are reviewing the letters of the alphabet.
This week the Tigers will learn about the letter J . We will create a jungle, along with animals for the letter J.

Please remember to include your family name and grade when turning in either sheets or baggies of Box Tops or Labels for Education. When recording them for volunteer hours, 50= 1 volunteer hour. You are responsible for recording your own hours on the Volunteer Hour Summary. We do not record hours for your family.
Please pray for the homeless in our community. May they find comfort and services they need during difficult times.
For all of our school families and loved ones, that God will bless our lives abundantly with peace, joy, and healing, and fill us with His Holy Spirit.
