November 14th-18th

Dear Owl’s Families,

This week

We will be talking about what it means to be thankful, and discussing the things we are thankful for.  We will also read the story of the first Thanksgiving.  Along with this story we will be discussing some of the things the Pilgrims might have been thankful for and why we celebrate Thanksgiving today.  The children will also have a chance to share with the class the different ways they celebrate Thanksgiving and how it is similar or different from the Pilgrims.

Religion

This week we will continue practicing for our Christmas Program. This week we will also focus on thankfulness.  We will talk about things God has given the world and say a prayer of thanks.

Letter of the Week

This week we will focus on the letter “Tt” for Turkeys and thankful.  We will work on the “Tt” letter sound and think of words that begin with that sound.  We will also read the letter “Tt” book and play what’s missing with the letter “Tt” sound tub.

Operation Christmas Child: we have a box outside our class room, for supplies to be collected in. We accept many toys, school supplies, hygiene items and much more! Thank you all for your generous donations.
