Weekly Newsletter

September 26, 2016 Dear Parents, I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather! We have been doing a variety of activities. We had a tape measure jamboree with the students measuring and recording items in the classroom using centimeter and inches. They have been reading books to self and with partners. We played the “rubber chicken game” to learn how to give and receive compliments. We have been practicing telling time with our miniature clocks. We are working on half hour, fifteen after and forty-five after the hour. You can practice all these skills at home! We made a “Lord’s Prayer” poster as part of our religion this week. Homework includes spelling words, sentences, reading log and math. The spelling focus this week are consonants mp, nd, nt, and st. The spelling test with be on Friday. Please return all homework on Friday. Please have your child return the red folder everyday. I will keep them this Friday and return them with weekly homework on Monday. Remember we do not have school on Friday, October 14th and Friday, October 21st due to teacher in-services. God Bless, Mrs. Diane Weber
